GAME ONE

After taking a two week layoff from the ultimate sport of bowling, Gutterballs Tres was back in action... although this time without the seasoned veteran Lawrence. Unaware of how the duo would now compete without their long time partner, Banks and Woods grabbed their balls. The game kicked off with a turkey from Woods and four marks from Banks. Woods left the fourth and sixth frames open, and that was all Banks needed to take the lead. He never looked back. Spare - Strike - Spare - Strike - Strike - Strike - 8... and the game was over. Banks finished up with a solid 212, and was thirsty for high series... but would he achieve that goal? only time would tell...

GAME TWO

In game two Woods hit the ground running. Spare after strike after spare after strike, Woods was en fuego... There was a burning inside of his heart as he competed. It was one of the most emotional and passionate Gutterballs performances to date. After not leaving a single frame open, he feel to he knees.... 239. It was lit up on the monitor like the Rockefeller tree during Christmas; for all to see and admire its beauty.

GAME THREE

Game three left much to be desired. The oil on the lane was breaking down, and Woods was having trouble finding his stroke after a very emotional (and competitive) first two games. Banks on the other hand (after a change of balls) was rejuvenated and saw an opportunity. The opportunity? High series; his loins ached for it. Banks took a commanding 34 pin lead in the 6th frame, and high series became a realistic possibility. Not wanting to relinquish such a title to Banks, Woods dug deep down inside. Strike - Strike - Strike... a Turkey for Woods entering the 10th. All of a sudden he had a chance at taking two out of three games. However Banks kept the pressure on with a spare, strike, and a spare in the 9th and 10th to finish up strong. It all came down to Woods. He needed a strike in the 10th to keep up with the slick Ed Banks. The line up.... the step... the release... the ball was tearing down the lane like Arettines's fingers on a guitar. Woods closed his eyes, and listened. It was the most beautiful sound he had ever heard. A waterfall of pins collapsing back into the depths of the alley. He opened his eyes. 5 pins...

High game: Woods - 239
High series: Woods - 566
